About Renee Walls

Renee Walls was born in South Korea and adopted by an immigrant mother from the Philippines and a farmer from rural Minnesota. Through them she learned the value of hard work, a dedication to education and learning, and a deep commitment to public service. Since the inception of her career, these tenets have informed Renee’s approach to public service and leadership.

Renee has served the King County community as a prosecutor and judicial officer. Her experience includes 26 years as a Prosecuting Attorney and 17 years as a Judge Pro Tempore.

Serving in both prosecutorial and judicial roles has allowed Renee to develop a broad lens through which she views justice. This vantage point encompasses more than the rule of law - it’s about people, families, and the extraordinary impact our courts have on our community.

We need and deserve a judge who possesses the legal acumen, demonstrated judicial temperament, and relevant experience necessary to perform the functions and duties of a judicial officer.

Renee is uniquely qualified to address the challenges facing our justice system, understand the changes our community has undergone, and make the difficult choices that the role of a judge demands.

With decades of legal practice behind her, we know Renee can serve because she has served. As District Court Judge she will continue to serve with the accumulated knowledge, the gained experience, and the proven integrity our community deserves.

With over two decades of demonstrated experience as a jurist and prosecutor,  a passion for justice and a legacy of service to our community, Renee Walls is hands down the best candidate for this position
